Our service

DAS Akademie provides language courses and related digital services. On our website, you can find courses, view start dates and prices, check your level, build course options, send enquiries and – where a course is available to book – select and book a course.

Booking and payment

The booking journey takes you from the course or start-date selection to the cart or checkout.

Before you place the order, we show the selected service, the price and the information that is material to the booking. You can review and correct your entries, choose an available payment method and place the order using a clearly labelled button.

Once the contract has been concluded successfully, we send an electronic booking confirmation. The contractual documents that apply to your booking are provided on a durable medium.

For contracts concluded online, the website also provides the statutory online withdrawal function and, where applicable to the contract concerned, the online contract-cancellation function.

How we address accessibility

We design the website, and in particular the functions used for selection, booking, identification, security and payment, so that they can be used in a way that is as perceivable, operable, understandable and robust as possible.

Measures include:

  • clearly structured pages and semantic headings,
  • meaningful labels for links and buttons,
  • keyboard access to essential functions,
  • visible keyboard focus,
  • clearly labelled form fields,
  • understandable form guidance and error messages,
  • text alternatives for meaningful images,
  • sufficient colour contrast,
  • scalable text and responsive layouts,
  • correct language identification for German and English content,
  • status information that does not rely on colour alone,
  • accessible controls for booking and payment functions.

We continue to test the website and address barriers identified through testing or during normal use. We deliberately do not make a blanket claim that every page and feature fully conforms to a particular WCAG conformance level unless that has been established by the relevant final testing.

Legal requirements

E-commerce services in Germany are subject in particular to the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) and the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz-Verordnung (BFSGV).

Among other things, relevant service information must be provided accessibly. Identification, authentication, security and payment functions, where they are provided as part of the service, must be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

Report a barrier

If you encounter a barrier or need information in a more accessible format, please email us at:

infoberlin@das-akademie.de

Please tell us as precisely as possible which page or feature is affected. We will review the issue and get back to you.
